I'm having a Matt Pond PA sort of day

UPDATE:

The day after my five year anniversary my boyfriend decided he didn't love me anymore. This is the reason I have not blogged much.

This Saturday marks five years that my BF and I have been able to stand each other. [wink]
Matt Pond PA has always been sort of the soundtrack of our years. We have other meaningful songs ... in fact 'Say Something' by James is truly "our song". But Matt Pond PA has been what we've really listened to for all occasions. Every song has a soundtrack feel. As a musician ... I hope they take that as a compliment because I'd love to write a song that would be the backdrop of some important scene in a movie or even just the tune that plays as the lead character walks from the diner to the local motel some early fall evening.

The Matt Pond PA sound to me is very North East... Adirondack chairs, weekend trips upstate, evergreen trees, crunchy leaves under foot, not letting a day go buy without catching site of some wildlife. So I'm making the Cap'n a mix tape from the LPs we own of my 19 or 20 favorite Matt Pond PA songs. Here are some videos I found on Youtube ... but some of my favorite tunes haven't made it onto Youtube fame, but give it a chance ... someone will use Bring on the Ending to properly play out the love between their favorite teen drama couple, just give it time.

My favorite time of the year

I am so busy at work and I'm afraid October will fly by as fast as September did. It's my favorite time of the year. I love everything spooky, eerie, strange, supernatural, undead, ghostly. I'm not just a fan of kooky Halloween decorations ... I love to be scared in haunted houses and watch classic horror films [Rob Zombie can keep his gore]. I really feel like it's a time when people are at their most creative. Decorating their yard, carving large vegetables, and planning up an ironic, silly, or scary costume. Last year my BF and I went as Natalie Wood and James Dean .... dead. This year I'm thinking of going as David Caruso in CSI:Miami. Just so I can whip my sunglasses off all night and rattle off terribly inappropriate cliches.


But I don't want to get off subject here... halloween!
All time greatest scary movie and you never even see the thing that's scaring you.


I also heart Zombies but not because I think they're scary but kind of funny.

Work has been nuts!

When it comes to seeing something pleasing to the eye, sometimes I get a simulatious punch in the gut. That's what happens when I happen upon any item by ibride at the many online shops I frequent. You can find their dark whimsical animal trays and other goods at online shops like Velocity or Elsewares. I have long desired an ibride piece ... but thought I've never visited their website before. So today I happened over to ibride.fr, and I got the same so-awesome-i-feel-like-i-just-got-punched-in-the-gut feeling I get everytime I see one of their items.
I am moved at how beautiful each piece is. It's full. That's how I feel ... like the piece is full complete and simply wonderful. Here are some shots from their website and a beautiful table that can be purchased at Velocity.

I love this one bunches ... oh but I don't bike. I'm a fan of walking/hiking.

I'm soooo glad the little gift shop in the building I work in sells these. In my office our desks are separated by these steel type partition's .. very modern of them, but how am I supposed to 'tack' things to them ... oh of course! with these delightful magnets from BoyGirlParty. I love them and just stare at them all day because they are so wonderful and dreamy. Thanks for sellin' them in my neighborhood.

Not a very crafty post but ... I had a dream about The Office last night so you can bet I'm running to Best Buy to pick up this gem today! It's out today every one ... the season where Jim and Pam become JAM! I'm gitty with excitement ... 2 hrs until the end of the day and it's Office marathon time!
